Eatery of the week - O Velho Eurico, Lisbon

When a once beloved tasca was about to close its doors, young chef Zé Paulo Rocha came to the rescue and bought O Velho Eurico back to life. Serving excellent versions of classic Portuguese grubs, Rocha and his team pioneer the new Portuguese kitchen.

Located on the eastern hills of Lisbon and not yet known to many of the city guides, O Velho Eurico is a must-visit.

What to order?

Enjoy the arroz de pato, bacalhau à Brás, and their drool worthy juicy lamb croquettes, this spot has a queue before it opens.

Go for the bread basket that comes with jamón, the baba ghanoush, and sea bass paired with your favourite natural wine.
